About Us
The International Association for Sports Information (IASI) brings together experts in sport information and communication. Members of IASI are based in national and international sport and sport science organisations and institutions that focus on quality assured information and knowledge transfer into sport practice.
At present, a number of our experts and organisations have a substantial focus on the support of high performance sport. These organisations share close connections with their National Olympic Committees (NOCs), government sponsored high performance training centres, and/or coaches and other technical direction experts in elite sport.
IASI is also focused on 'sport for all' and the use of sport for community building and development. Many of our experts and their organisations are currently engaged in a range of government and non-government organisation led initiatives working to leverage the benefits of sport for communities.
IASI was founded by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) in 1960, and is an affiliated and recognised organisation of the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

IASI is an advocate for the use and development of sport information services.
IASI seeks close cooperation with leading national and international sporting organisations, and sport and physical activity focussed scientific and academic institutions.
